Want to REALLY know about Lara?

As a kid I had a flair for the dramatic, some say I haven’t quite outgrown it. I used to practice fainting so I could fall elegantly, like Snow White.

I lived every moment and loved to play, to learn, to connect. My favourite word was “Passion”. Seriously. It felt so dramatic, so exciting, so energizing!

And now as an adult, albeit a tiny one ( wait until people see me IRL vs. Zoom!) I have come full circle to a point in my life where it’s all about passion again.  It’s how I live. I strive to be in ‘my moments’ with deep curiosity, love, and humour.  It’s definitely a work in progress, as I often unwittingly find myself ruminating about the past or worrying about the future. I’m getting there though. Cue mindfulness practice...

It wasn’t a straight road that led me here.  Hardly. There was illness and loss, burnout and apathy, difficulties and challenges.   Yet, it taught me and brought me back here to my purpose; to be an authentic and inspirational leader who motivates others to achieve their potential, heighten their performance, and live with passion.  So, that is what I do. What else do I do?  I sing poorly, dance awkwardly, and laugh freely. I cook, I chauffeur,  I cheerlead.  I listen, I motivate, I inspire, I empathize.

And yes, I still have a flair for the dramatic, and I embrace it.  Every year on Oscar night I pull out my wedding dress, try to squeeze into it ( no one can see the zipper isn’t done up, right?), and goad my family to do the same so we can sip champagne, enjoy the spectacle, and live passionately.
